We are proud supporters of a number of industry events.
We have been sponsors of the Sparkling Trophy at the prestigious Royal Easter Show Wine Awards since 2006 (the show has been running since 1963 - wow). We are also the official providers of the medal labels for the Awards event. Full results can be found on www.wineshow.co.nz and order forms for medal labels are here.
This is a favourite event of ours held in September each year at the Crowne Plaza and we're very pleased to be the Gewurztraminer Trophy sponsors. We'll have pics from the last one here, and full results are here.
We're gearing up to be the new label sponsor for the pre-eminent Gisborne wine event. The event was started in 2000 and this year the awards dinner is being held on Friday 22 May at Quality Hotel Emerald. We're looking forward to it. Check out all of the details on www.gisbornewine.co.nz
We're the print sponsor for the inaugural Pharmacy Awards, a fabulous event at which the industry celebrates achievement in the past year. There's a dedicated website, check it out www.pharmacyawards.co.nz
Helping our community
We're an avid supporter of the North Shore Hospice and we sponsor the annual Christmas lunch for day staff and patients. Deb and Anne-Marie enjoy singing Christmas Carols and eating Christmas pies when they pop in to pass on our donation. We donate in lieu of Christmas gifts to our clients and suppliers - a more worthy contribution I'm sure you will agree.
Yep, we don our finest walk shorts and socks combo, our best beach boardies and our high fashion stunners for a day in March to collect a little more dosh for this worthy cause. Both the company and employees donate funds for this event.
The Hearing House is a charity for deaf children and their families and at Rapid we've made participation in Loud Shirt Day (their primary fundraiser) an annual event. In September 2014 the theme was Flowers and Flares - take a look at the pics to see how far we'll go for a good cause.
Fundraising for the Cranford Hospice is the aim of this organisation and more than $2 million has been raised over the last 22 years. Local companies donate wine and we donate a special run of labels to signify the event. There's a spectacular pic of the event here.
We recycle our old home and work mobile phones to raise money for Starship's National Air Ambulance, an invaluable service that flies medical experts to emergencies around the country and brings children back to Starship for lifesaving care. Our old phones aren't worth much - just a life or two.

On 13 March 2015 Cyclone Pam struck Vanuatu and it's neighbouring Pacific Islands. Fifteen people lost their lives and some 132,000 people, including 54,000 children, have been directly affected by the devastation in Vanuatu alone. Nakedwines.com.au and Severne St Wine Company had the idea to contribute to the Cyclone Relief fund by donating 330 cases of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, the proceeds of which would go directly to helping the people of Vanuatu. The idea gathered momentum when Rapid provided free labels, Wineworks provided bottles and even the warehousing and logistics companies in Oz offered to contribute their services for free. We're very pleased to be associated with these generous companies and hope our contribution helps the displaced people in some way.
You can read more on wikipedia about the effects of the Cyclone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Pam

One man's trash is another's treasure - and our waste labels are loved by the local kindergartens and playcentres. We don't envy the teachers and parents trying to remove the permanently adhesed ones though...
